The two of us now live in Onset, Massachusetts, a village in Wareham, at the northeast end of Buzzards Bay. We formerly lived in Allston, a neighborhood of Boston (no, it's not just students).

Beyond Schoodic; our farthest Maine destination yet in 2010!
Sunset in Corea Harbor; the only pleasure vessels in this quietworking harbor. We were rafted on the "guest mooring" with fellow cruisers, Paul & Sally Merry's Calypso.

The full log can be found
here and the gallery here.

A delivery/cruise from Key West to Dinner Key, winter 2010.
Where the adventure began: the city dinghy dock at Garrison Bight, way too late at night.

The full log can be found
here, a chart here and the gallery here.

A sunny, breezy, (mostly) non-foggy, 2009 cruise to Maine!
Here's Nan as we ease into the sunset, having rounded Cape Ann, heading towards the Isles of Shoals, alongside our fellow cruisers, Paul & Sally Merry's Calypso.

A new "family member," a calico kitten named Maggie May.
Or Maggie Mae, Nan's spelling, with memories of Lil' Abner instead of Rod Stewart. She came from the shelter, Charles River AlleyCats, as Mandy, but we want no reminders of Barry Manilow.
Maggie May at 4-1/2 months

Okay, agreed: it is foggy in Maine; July cruise, 2008

We spent two weeks in Maine (or on the way to and from) the end of July. The first day, Sunday the 20th, we spent considerable time running from thunderstorms rolling out of Boston Harbor.

Here We Are at the Boston Folk Festival!
A photo taken by dobro player Abbie Gardner of the band, Red Molly. She takes pictures of every audience, "to show their mothers that people really do come to see them!" Check 'em out!
Boston Folk Festival by Red Molly
This was the 10th anniversary of this great event, sponsored by
WUMB-FM (91.9 and "streaming live on the Web") every September on the waterfront campus of U/Mass Boston. We've been to 7 of the last 8 festivals, rain or (mostly) shine and enjoyed them all!

Quicktime Movie
A quick video...
Spurred by another Sabre-owner's digital video clip, I turned the Nikon 8400's dial to the movie-camera-on-a-tripod icon and panned it around last Sunday, July 8th, 2007, as we approached Wings Neck.We were practically surfing under one reef and I had good beginner's luck.

Click here to see it; note that it is in Quicktime, which may or may not be installed on your PC.

And now presenting the Gallery; a [B]log yet to come...
Of course there are still the old photos and sailing logs linked off the large and small photos below.

We are saiiiiiling to Padanar-ar-um (apologies to Mark Knopfler)...
Across Buzzards Bay, way too late in the day, in our "new" Sabre 34, Hickory Wind (no apologies, just thanks, needed to Gram Parsons).

Arrival at Isles of Shoals, Maine, August, 2005
Nan on Hickory Wind and Paul Merry on Calypso watch the sun set as we settle down on a mooring off Star Island on the second night of this year's cruise to Maine. Click here to read the full log.

Bosport Harbor, Isles of Shoals, ME & NH

After the Storm, North Haven Island, Maine, July 22, 2002
And after dinner at Brown's Coal Wharf restaurant, where we had, of all things in Maine, lasagna!
(Which was excellent, in fact and after all, we could and did buy lobstah elsewhere for half the price and eat it on the boat.)

Fox Islands Thorofare, North Haven, ME
We spent two weeks in Penobscot Bay (not to mention the time coming and going) in Jabberwocky, along with Paul and Sally Merry on their Luders 33, Aurora. Click here to read the full log.
